What is HCI/d?

The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering transforms individuals who will shape the future of human-computer interaction/design. Our unique program blends academic research with industry-oriented design skills and is tailored to impart critical thinking by building core academic foundations. Luddy’s HCI/d program was the first in the U.S. to emphasize design as an equal partner to HCI, and our vision anticipated current trends in technology, business, and innovation while laying the groundwork for students to grow rapidly into sought-after design leaders.
